Sprigging

Sprigging is the process of removing stems from mature bermuda grass strands and replanting the vegetative cuttings in a different location. For small areas, this may be done by hand but for large areas it is done with mechanical row planters. This process helps with growing sod in quickly and evenly. It is very popular with athletic fields and golf courses. With proper care, your Bermuda field will have completely grown in within 5-8 weeks.
